OK, I can't embed this one, so you'll have to follow the link but it is WELL worth it! It's a really fun video!
And I have a little story to tell surrounding this song. The song parallels a point I want to make. This song has a sad message wrapped in an upbeat tune. You get sour and sweet wrapped together.
This is a really fun upbeat song that my son's listen to HEAVY in rotation at the Hindsley home. :) They just showed it to me recently and we play it a lot. It's time to share it with you. :)
When Did Your Heart Go Missing?
So here is my little story... Now, I should tell you all... I've recently heard that I write or post about a past ex when it comes to my Videos of the day etc... No offense folks, but that could NOT be further from the truth. To hear that comes as a surprise. Mostly because I'm very happy, I'm in a happy relationship and my life is full and rich in love. The concept of such offends me actually.
For instance I posted a Panic! At The Disco video the other day and I didn't read the lyrics, I just posted it as I was in a hurry working other things at my desk. While someone may feel I had a message there. There was not. It's just a great song. I have two Panic! At the Disco CD's and I figured I'd post a video by them to show I liked the band. I did a youtube search and posted one I randomly found. Actually I liked the video.
I've had many relationships in my life that make me a romantic man when it comes to the diametrical sides of love, happiness and tragedy. If you've ever seen Vanilla Sky, a recurring message is that you can't appreciate the sweet without the sour. While I know I've got some great writing in me and can tell some great stories that leverage aspects of my life, I don't live as my characters in my stories do. However... Any great writer will tell you that some of the best literary works written come from harrowing stories, heartbreak, disaster, you name it.
Now... if you don't mind... here are the Lyrics to When Did Your Heart Go Missing? A song that has zero to do with my life other than my kids love this song and that we listen to it a lot! Any similarity in this song's lyrics and my own life are completely coincidental. I sometimes wish my kids would find songs that can in now way be compared to my own life. The reality is we all live with love, happiness and heartbreak from time to time. It's how we move on that defines us. Now please... just enjoy the song. :)
Love don't come so easily
This doesn't have to end in tragedy
I have you and you have me
We're one in a million
Why can't you see?
I'm waiting, waiting for nothing
You're leaving, leaving me hanging
When did your heart go missing?
When did your heart go missing?
I treat you like a princess
But your life is just one big mess
When did your heart go missing?
When did your heart go missing, yeah?
I meant every word I said
I never was lying when we talked in bed
I'm retracing every step in my head
What did I miss back then?
I was so, so misled
I'm waiting, waiting for nothing
You're leaving, leaving me hanging
When did your heart go missing?
When did your heart go missing?
I treat you like a princess
But your life is just one big mess
When did your heart go missing?
When did your heart go missing?
I don't understand
How could you forget what we had,
It's so wrong
I'm waiting, waiting for nothing
You're leaving, leaving me hanging
When did your heart go missing?
When did your heart go missing?
I treat you like a princess
But your life is just one big mess
When did your heart go missing?
When did your heart go missing?
Yeah!
Things were so good
We had a little dream
A little dream together
Buy a house, settle down, do our thing
But you disappeared on me
And your heart, your heart went missin'
I don't know how to find it
I don't know where it is
I don't know where your heart went
It was here just the other day
Now it's gone
I'm gonna call the police
Call the investigator, the heart investigator
