I won't let the sun go down on me
View Article  I'm not going to die, but it sure is scary

So... I've got this big lump.  Scary as hell.  I've got a doctors appointment but in pre-screening they say....

How long you had it?  I say... You'd think a while as big as it is.  You may be thinking... "cancer".  Not me.  I'm SuperMan, I'm far too fit.  It wouldn't make any sense.

I'll let you know.  I don't think it's serious.  But it looks scary.  It feels hard as bone.  Maybe I'll take a picture for you when I find out it's nothing. :)

View Article  Cy Curnin Interview - Lead Singer of th Fixx

I've scored a big interview from a media partner of mine.  I will be interviewing Cy Curnin of the Fixx in the next few days and I will post my interview here and at my media partners web site.

Cy Curnin is one of my heroes but I don't plan to hero worship him in an interview.  If you have any questions you'd like me to forward to him, contact me.

I don't want to say any more at present as we all know sadly, there are people I know that have been trying to do anything they can to hurt me and disturb my life.

I am however very happy to be able to let all my current readers know this interview is coming up.  Please check back soon to read it!

View Article  Lars' Video Pick of the Day: Let Me Go - Heaven 17

You know how most 80's videos just didn't get it?  Well, this one is one of those fantasy type 80's videos that actually works.  While the song is dated, and feels 80's... I must once again point you back to the words which drive the song.

So few songs wrap themselves up in a bow at the end.  This one is one of them.  Shot in black and white, you feel the desperation and acceptance of a love never to be had again.  I think that is what always hit home with me when I listened to this song as a boy.

With words like, "our souls are locked and frozen" hit hard.  But no words hit quite as hard as:

Once we were years ahead but now those thoughts are dead let me go!
All hopeless fantasies are making fools of me let me go!
I walk alone and yet I never say goodbye let me go!
A change of heart a change of mind and heaven fell that night let me go!

On a musical plane, Let Me Go! was a standard setter like Human League's Don't You Want Me and Soft Cell's, Tainted Love, yet Let Me Go! never had the same impact stateside.  No bother to me, most American's were too hung up on image and metal pop.  If you didn't rock you were a disco fool.  My peers were very dim when it came to accepting so much great music in every style it came.

It was the time in my life when God was driving me every thought.  I was young and carnal, but I was tormented by my Christian ethics.  For all that torment I must say, they were in fact the best years of our lives.  We had the world in our ...   more »

WHY MOSTLY PHOTOS OF LARS?
The answer is simple. It's to protect my friends privacy. I'm not a narcessist. LOL

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Lars Hindsley is a self-employed single full time father, a writer, a non conservative Republican, a reformed idealist (a compromisationalist), ex-musician, God fearing cynic that could more easily be described in two words as a "Rugged Intellectual".

Lars writings range from "how to" articles to commentaries and advice. You'll find movie reviews and video picks of the day side by side with serious writings.

Lars offers perspective from an Anglo-Christian moral position while never lording over anyone unlike himself. Lars is of the opinion that if you are going to complain, you should offer a solution. His perspective on the world is that many of us fight societal evolution to frustrating ends without a genuine understanding of what it is we are all up against.

Reading his articles should provide you with positive energy towards living out your day. You may not be able to change the world but you can navigate it to live a rich and rewarding life. Enjoy Lars’ works, there are years of writings to choose from.
