This song is obscure to most and perhaps a bit esoteric by some standards... I hope you like it. Slave to Love by Bryan Ferry.

Slave to Love is from one of my all time favorite albums Avalon by Bryan Ferry. Avalon is the album that redefined the sound of Roxy Music. I have but one word to decribe it.  Elegant.    Slave to Love reminds me of the more polished side of the yuppy lifestyle I lived at this time.   It was a time when I was a very well known young business man in my town.  I recall how far and wide my net was cast...  I was agressive and the world was my oyster.  But when it came to love... I was in search of something bigger than I could ever hold.  I listen to the words now and they have a different meaning.

I think that is why my favorite verse from this song is      ...too grown up to dream.

I'm at a point in my life where I've personally seen a lot of dreams come and go, and you realize some dreams are the ones right before you.  Sometimes you are living your deam and you look beyond what is best for you.  "The Storm is breaking, or so it seems, we're too young to reason, too grown up to dream."

Another great song I really am fond of is More than This from the same album.  Another very good song but a terrible video.. The Main Thing.  If you like B-Tribe, Enigma or Sade, this is a great sound that won't let you down.
