You epitomize why I should try

The main thing is you want me

Keep electing a wider view

Keep praying this dream comes true

I’ll keep forcing my fate with you

Drawing near,

You’re selecting,

This heart’s bound for you

I can’t slow up we both might realize

The boundary we both knew

I’ll keep praying this dream comes true

I’ll keep forcing my fate with you

Only the wind knows

There is nothing you can do

Destiny is a friend to it

Soft or sullen or as harsh as it may be

It will leave you in the night awake

It will leave you in the night awake

It will leave you in the night with...

Forced fate.

I’ll keep praying this dream comes true

I’ll keep forcing my fate with you

Staying in step beside you

Only the wind knows

There is nothing you can do

Destiny is a friend to it

Soft or sullen or as harsh as it may be

It will leave you in the night awake

It will leave you in the night awake

It will leave you in the night with...

Forced fate.

You know why here I won’t be denied

You will not evade now

My destiny is made, not found.

Forced fate is another one of my favorites.  This song came at a time when I really was coming into my own as a songwriter and a man.  I grew up in love and realized what it took to be in love.  I learned so much from girls like Noel Olsen and Erica Dilcer that I knew something most men never grasp.  That is that you can't make a woman love you but you can put yourself in her path to find you.  That is forcing fate.

You have to get out there to find love.  Love may find you, but you have a better chance if you put yourself out there. You have to try.

Strange, I think I met most of the greatest women in my life this way.   But more important I'm very proud to look back on my life and know I wrote this song.  I hope more young men and men learn from this, you have to go dead on into life with the utmost confidence.  No woman wants a man that is not strong.   Yeah, I'm still that guy.
