Dare I be what you want me to?

Dare I requite your point of view?

Then you’ll know what I bring to you.

Do you fear the revenge you will know?

It’s a Language I know you’ll hear with your eyes

You’ll feel me coming / bring you down to size

This is how its got to be

Picking apart your hypocrisy

The quietness was almost killing me.

But I had the power to requite the dream.

This is a song I wrote some time ago and wow how some things in the past come back to serve you in the present.  The band never finished this song in that we did begin to work it out, but it never made it to our practice set.  I do have a recording of it and the guitar cords were powerful and convincing with a serious hook accompanied by the vocals.

The point of the song is direct.  Revenge.  Not through physical aggression but by the future.  The first person sees the future that his target of affection does not. He knows who he is and realizes that the future will vindicate him.  He begins by illustrating that should he actually be the bad person his lover wants him to be, she would understand just what a good man she had.  So in the end she should take a glimpse into the future and avoid what she is trying to make her man.  The reference to her hypocrisy is straight forward and direct as the whole song is.  It is meant to be direct.  There is no kidding around anymore and she is about to see the side of him she never realized she was creating.  She was the hypocrite, and as he exposes her, there is this faint view of Dangerous Liaisons where in the end the woman that wanted to ruin the man, is exposed for what she is and everyone no longer feels sorry for her.

The second to the closing line talks about “the quietness was almost killing me”  This about knowing something or things about the other person and you kept those secrets to yourself.
