There is a reason I don't argue with liberals ...or anyone that disagrees with me in general. 

If someone has a view or a mental model of something it is generally emotionally motivated. If not motivated by emotion they are at least emotionally attached.  Even conservatives are emotionally attached to their point of views, they are only less emotional on a whole.

So in the end when you deal with anyone that disagrees with you, try to remember from the onset that if you are trying to change their opinion, you can't.  The person you are arguing a point with will be offended that you are even trying if you don't immediately respect that they have feelings on the matter.  The old saying, We agree to disagree is more applicable to today's society than ever.

Let me focus on Liberals since I titled this article on Liberal thinkers.  Most but not all Liberals won't consider what you have to say if you have an opposing viewpoint.  They are an angry type, while hoping to save the earth.  This seems paradoxical.  You have people that want to save babies and save the earth yet they will fight hard rather than try and change your mental model.  By fight hard I mean they get on TV and show angry distorted faces with disgust for anyone that doesn't share their point of view. 

I've met liberal minded people and had civil discussions, but I did this knowing I could not change their minds.  It comes down to them attacking your position and challenging you on everything.  Once you make a point, they throw it out.  They don't consider rational thinking.  Rather they rationalize honest efforts as conspiracies and political in nature.  For instance, a Liberal will never for a second consider our presence in Iraq as an effort to better the world.  To a Liberal we are there for an al carte of reasons.   From Oil to Bush wanting to finish what his father didn't (remove Hussein) and other reasons, Liberals don't want to hear any rational explaination.  When our troops die, "we had it coming".  Who thinks like that?  You gotta be angry and one way to be that calous and think that a mans life is worth that little. 

The fact that we were attacked on 9/11 means to a Liberal something other than what it was.  Again, we had it coming.  Had what coming?  I was minding my own business that day at work, trying to feed my family.  But a Liberal will say..."For years we have been doing this and that to them and they are fighting back... blah blah blah..."  So that is reason to kill innocent people? 

The point to all this is you can provide a simple fundamental argument against a Liberal but they won't have it.  Everything is a conspiracy.  Everything is motivated by greed and they resent the country they live in. 

I avoid Liberals.  I avoid people that have petitions,  loiter for like minds on door steps of the Department of Motor Vehicals and other public places.  They are clueless and will remain that way. . They will get angrier and angier on the inside that is their problem.
