This is not a subject I can make light of.

And this is NOT a video of the day.  I played this song for a friend today and they didn't realize the point of it.  So here it is with the words. 

I don't want to appear as if I'm judging anyone.  I can't live your life but I can share my own experience.  The fact is my brother is gone from this world because of suicide.  It took a toll on me and if I can help one person understand how much it affects others, then perhaps I may save a life.  I've seen the trails of life mount up on many people that played the game of suicide.  If they were really trying to kill themself or not can be hard to say.  I've had to pull one person down off a bucket as they were trying to hang their self years ago.  I take this subject so serious.   I'm posting this video with words to illustrate that when you do such a selfish thing it affects others.   When you are gone, you leave a void.  While you are abusing yourself you hurt others.  It goes way beyond you. 

Here is my advice.  When life gets you down, reach inside yourself to fuel yourself with hope.  Empower yourself.  Don't take it away from yourself.   In the same way that you can't turn to drugs or alcohol, in that they such the life from you instead of making you stronger, you can't turn in on yourself either.

I get it the idea of having your soul destroyed and the feeling of hopelessness.  I have people that want to inflict that type of pain on me.  But at any time I feel a moment of weakness I let them win.  Life is not for the meek.  That is the sad reality of the world you live in.  Wrap your head around that.  Step forward, never back.  Step forward, never idle.  Feed yourself with positive thoughts.  Point yourself forward.   Think forward. 

And most of all, understand that you will hurt others if you take your life.  You will hurt people that need you on this planet if you hurt yourself.   This is why people call suicide a "selfish act".  You must come to accept those words.  Don't hurt others by hurting yourself.  If nothing else.

Now... in the words of the song above... You can't take the kid from the fight!  So don't take the fight from the kid.  Get out there and live!
