Let me begin by stating I'm not a reality TV enthusiast. However being an owner of a PVR (TIVO personal video recorder) has empowered my wife to record a lot of shows; ninety percent of which are reality TV shows.
When I sat in the theater to watch
I've watched each episode with zeal and genuine interest. Why? Because for once fellow contestants can't kick you off the show. Because only one person makes the decision to keep you or toss you. Because ...and most importantly it is for a real job worth a real life. It is worth a life change that anyone in business would enjoy making. It is not winning a game for simple "one time" hit. To me the steaks are much higher, much more valuable as they are truly real.
So what about this Omarosa?
In the early episodes I recognized her quality of speech. However I was curious if she had substance. Everyone noticed she had butted heads with one other contestant. Again, you give folks a Mulligan (one forgiven mistake).
Yet in subsequent weeks it became clear she did not connect with hardly anyone on the show and most importantly the stylish speak she used was mask over no substance. Omarosa did not understand marketing, she did not have leadership qualities where you promote inclusion with all team mates and reach out to team mates despite your different opinions. I mean to say, you can disagree with a team mate or underling and even be stern without making it personal or insulting. What Omorosa did on camera showed a person that thought she was better than others. She also showed her insecurity in that she had no substance, just her words.
Cut to now... She was tossed from the show. She had displayed no business sense when she walked back into the board room the day she was fired and begged and made excuses like a child. She had embarrassed herself with immature behavior. All these things were now seen as facts.
Well... It did not take long for her to use the one skill she has. Her mouth. She is vying for attention, wants a tv show and is playing a race-card to boot.
The fact she is black is fine. I've seen whites, blacks, Asians, blues, greens, you name it act like fools. We've all done it. But her behavior is over-the-top and reprehensible, yet lets face it the media executives will assume we the public will eat this 'controversy' up. No we won't. We will be pissed off again that bad people are rewarded for bad behavior.
I'll tune in one time just to confirm my opinion, but as for anything this woman has to say now, I'm not interested. She needs to go away. Grrr, she is not even two faced, she believes her own lie. Man, ignorance is bliss, but Omarosa is a joke.
