I volunteered to help out for free comic book day on May 5th 2007 as Spider-Man before I sold my costume.   My father and boys where there too.  It was funny, I had hundreds of kids taking photos with me as Spider-Man but I had to keep whispering to my son here in the photo... "I'm not dad, I'm Spider-Man buddy, don't call me dad right now..."

So he would walk away and come back a minute later standing underneath me with his arm around my leg... and he would then say in a bragging voice to what seemed no one in particular...."Spider-Man is my dad, yeah."

I wanted to laugh my ass off. He is unbearably cute.   Check out Darth Vader signing autographs behind us! LOL This was actually a fun event.   My boys took loads of photos with superheroes and villains alike.  There were a lot of costumed heroes there.  They tell us they had over 2,000 attendees at free comic book day.  I know I signed a lot of autographs and held a lot of kids.  There is something about putting a smile on a kids face.  I suggest anyone that has the time, volunteer to do something for a child.  The reward is priceless.
