OK, not just for me...  But for all you folks that have been searching for the A's and reading my article about my younger days...  I have news for ya all!  I think I may be the youngest fan there! LOL  Remember when the A's were big back in the 80's I was just a wee child of 14.  You lucky folks were of age and could get into the Stone Balloon in Delaware, The Empire, The Troc or all the best Philly joints.  I could just flip my copy of A Woman's Got The Power over and over again.

To you band members of the A's that have been visiting my blog and correcting me, I thank you band members with geniune sincerity.  Just remember I gave a shit when you visited my blog and I kept your memory alive.

I'll hear them bring the house down once again with After Last Night!

So I guess I'll see you all at the Electric Factory!  I'm going for my birthday!  The band is throwing a great birthday party just for me! Hah!

One thing is for absolute certain... I'll bet you all a million dollars they don't play When A Rebel Comes Home!  LMAO

Here's what I'm holding out for... How Do You Live With A Broken Heart which when I was just a boy would dream about myself singing on stage to throngs of girls hoping they would all think I was just as sincere as the words.  Hey, I was 14 and 15... I was perfect for this stuff.  And believe me when Richard Bush would get to that chorus... "How do you find the strength to go on?"  I was good for those words. I felt them enough to sing them.  There is no doubt the days of the A's inspired me enough to become the front for my own band.  Which I did achieve one day.  I was'nt just a dreamer.  These guys were local, but they had heart in my book and deserved a hell of a lot better.

I hope to hear a load of my other favorites too like Words Words Words, CIA, After Last Night, Electricity, I Pretend She's You, Painting By Numbers, Johnny Silent and everything dancable like Do the Dance and  Misunderstanding... Oh to see them do this live again... that will be so much fun.  Really, I did love these lyrics...

       MISUNDERSTANDING

She said... I love you,

I said I love you too.

She said... turn out the light!

I said, you turn out the light.

She said... give me a kiss

I said, you give me a kiss!

She said... don't hold your breath

I said hold it yourself!

Damn... those were great times.  I actually had a recording of this song I made myself at a gig they played at the Stone Balloon in Newark Delaware.   I bounced around my bedroom at 15 listening to this song with a smile just beaming across my face.

She said, love should last

I said make mine fast

She said let's get undressed

I said let's not get undressed

She said keep me awake

I said You keep me awake!

She said give me your best!

I said, give me a rest!

Here is a great video of Richard Bush and the boys!  My favorite inspirational love song!  A Woman's Got the Power! Damn, who the hell posted this to YouTube?  What to go guys!

I can't say it enough... To see this video from all the way back in the day blows me away .... After Last Night!  May rock sound like this once again!  And of course that great use of the word... Fiasco!  Ha!

These Bedroom Politics are making me sick...  They don't write rock lyrics like this anymore.

I like the Hooters double bill line-up too. Makes total sense.   Finally... twenty friggin years later and I get to see the A's.  There is a God!

It used to mean so much... It used to mean the whole world... We used to be so much... me and my girl.. We used to dress real fine... dance all night long... we use to drink Champagne... We used to go to bed at dawn...

If we could feel again what we felt that night... was it so long ago?
